River cruise tourism will begin in the state: CM Shri Chouhan

Cruise will run from Barwani to Statue of Unity

Bhopal : Thursday, June 8, 2023.Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that river cruise tourism will also be used to encourage tourism activities in the state. With this, tourists will be able to get acquainted with the natural beauty and bio-diversity available around the Narmada river.

In a meeting chaired by CM Shri Chouhan at the residence office, it was informed that cruise operation will be started from Barwani in Narmada river to Statue of Unity in Gujarat. The cruise will cover a distance of 135 kms. Cruise operations will also start from Bargi to Mandla. Union Minister for AYUSH and ports, shipping and waterways Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) of the state Shri Ramkishore Nano Kawre, Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla and officials of the Inland Waterways Authority of India were present.
