Over ₹44,000 Crore Transferred So Far under the Scheme

Bhopal : Tuesday, November 11, 2025: Under the guidance and leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the campaign for women’s empowerment in Madhya Pradesh is progressing rapidly. The promise made by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav to the state’s Ladli Behnas is set to be fulfilled on November 12, 2025.

At a state-level event to be held in Seoni, the enhanced amount will be transferred to the accounts of over 1 crore 26 lakh Ladli Behnas. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will transfer ₹1,500 into the bank accounts of each beneficiary.

Expressing gratitude towards their ‘brother Mohan’. Ladli Behnas said that the Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is taking care of them just as Lord Shri Krishna cared for his sister Subhadra.

The Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana has achieved a historic milestone in advancing the economic and social empowerment of women in Madhya Pradesh. Between June 2023 and October 2025, financial assistance has been regularly transferred to beneficiaries in 29 installments.

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, special assistance of ₹250 each was provided thrice, in August 2023, August 2024 and August 2025. So far, a total of ₹44,917.92 crore has been directly transferred to the accounts of beneficiary Sisters.

This ambitious scheme, run by the state government, has played a vital role in making women financially self-reliant and empowered. Women are using this support not only to meet their day-to-day financial needs but also to engage with the formal banking system.

According to the latest progress report, the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’ has benefitted 1,26,36,250 women across all 52 districts of Madhya Pradesh.

The highest number of beneficiaries is in Indore district (4,40,723), followed by Sagar (4,19,903), Rewa (4,03,182), Chhindwara (3,90,311), Dhar (3,82,417), and Jabalpur (3,81,848).

Other districts with high numbers of beneficiaries include Balaghat (3,47,816), Ujjain (3,40,203), Morena (3,33,821), Chhatarpur (3,24,454), Khargone (3,13,741), Bhopal (3,09,020) and Gwalior (3,05,969).

Further, Rajgarh (2,95,459), Shivpuri (2,87,943), Dewas (2,85,496), Vidisha (2,74,946), Bhind (2,72,343) and Betul (2,71,474) have also shown strong participation.

In Seoni district, where the state-level event will be held, 2,68,187 women are beneficiaries. Other districts include Mandsaur (2,62,827), Ratlam (2,50,176), Raisen (2,46,390), Damoh (2,45,143), Sehore (2,42,717), Katni (2,41,302), Barwani (2,37,060), Guna (2,28,604), Khandwa (2,16,372), Narmadapuram (2,09,837), Sidhi (2,09,706), Tikamgarh (2,07,079) and Narsinghpur (2,08,734).

The scheme has also reached Singrauli (1,97,004), Mandla (1,95,153), Jhabua (1,92,511), Shahdol (1,88,729), Panna (1,82,220), Shajapur (1,73,900), Neemuch (1,57,658), and Ashoknagar (1,55,387).

In Datia, 1,44,239 women have benefitted; Anuppur (1,26,054), Alirajpur (1,23,492), Agar Malwa (1,17,255), Umaria (1,09,113), Sheopur (1,08,673), Harda (93,516), and Niwari (80,157) have also been covered.

The Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana has strengthened women’s financial independence and social dignity. Beneficiaries have been utilizing the funds for daily needs, children’s education, and as seed capital for small businesses.

Beyond economic empowerment, the scheme has also enhanced women’s participation in family decision-making. Its far-reaching impact is now visible across both rural and urban Madhya Pradesh, where women are playing an active role in building an ‘Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh’.
